In anticipation of his visit, Xi articulated the resilience of the China-Egypt relationship amid shifting international dynamics. He advocated for intensified efforts to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration. Both countries are pursuing substantial national development goals, and Xi suggested aligning their development strategies. He highlighted the Belt and Road Initiative as a platform for practical projects that promise long-term economic advantages.

Xi further proposed expanding cooperation in diverse sectors, including education, tourism, science and technology, healthcare, sports, and archaeology. He believes that bolstering exchanges will enhance mutual understanding and reinforce the bond between their peoples. He identified Egypt as a crucial partner in fortifying cooperation between China and both Arab countries and Africa.

Both nations play a pivotal role as members of the Global South, according to Xi. He called for enhanced coordination on global issues, increased support for multilateral cooperation, and collaborative efforts to foster global peace and stability. This visit is anticipated to further cement political and economic relations between Beijing and Cairo, opening new opportunities for collaboration in trade, infrastructure, technology, and other sectors.
