Loong Air has introduced a new direct flight connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport in China with Taichung International Airport in Taiwan. This marks the airline’s inaugural cross-strait service, enhancing travel links between southwestern China and central Taiwan. The flight route is scheduled to operate twice a week, with flights available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The launch of this service is expected to bolster travel connectivity and provide more options for passengers traveling between the two regions. As a result of this addition, Taichung International Airport now boasts a total of 31 operating or announced routes. This includes 20 regular services and 11 charter routes, highlighting the airport’s growing network and capacity to handle increased passenger traffic.
Chengdu joins Nanjing and Qingdao as one of the three scheduled cross-strait destinations currently served by Taichung International Airport. The inclusion of these routes signifies an expansion in Taichung’s ability to connect with key cities in China, thereby facilitating easier and more efficient travel for both business and leisure travelers.
