China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of their Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun. During a regular press briefing on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations are in consistent communication regarding border issues and are diligently working to implement agreements from previous discussions.
The upcoming dialogue is set to continue the efforts to manage border tensions and uphold peace and stability along their shared frontier. The talks follow the progress made during the 24th round of discussions, with both sides actively engaged in bringing the consensus into effect.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi attending the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. As part of his visit, Wang met with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, reinforcing diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
Guo mentioned that the situation along the China-India border remains stable, with effective communication channels in place. The dialogue between the two countries underscores a commitment to maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, ensuring that previous agreements are honored and implemented.
As preparations for the next round of talks are underway, both China and India aim to further address and manage the complex issues surrounding their boundary, indicating a continuous effort to foster a cooperative relationship.
